What is håp?

håp is a self-tracker for the mind that fosters human connection. The idea is to empower you with your own data so you gain more self-awareness, as well as connecting you with people you trust.

What does håp do for me?

håp helps you track, review and compare factors that relate to your mental health and wellbeing, such as your mood, focus, sleep and heart rate.

håp gives you instant access to free, 24/7 crisis support via Crisis Text Line, as well as tips and resources on mental health and wellbeing.

The next version of håp will allow you to share some of your data with people you trust who want to support you. These might be friends, family or others in the håp community, and håp will alert and encourage them to connect and check-in with you when it looks like you might need it. More on this coming soon.

What is a Check-in?

A Check-in is a daily survey where you answer questions to help you reflect on how you are feeling in the moment. Each Check-in will take a few minutes to complete in the morning and evening.

håp asks you questions on 7 factors that relate to your mental health and wellbeing:

  • Mood – How up or down you feel.
  • Calm – How calm or anxious you feel.
  • Focus – How clear-headed and focused you feel.
  • Motivation – How you feel about your ability to take initiative, how enthusiastic and satisfied you feel.
  • Sleep – How you feel about your overall sleep quality.
  • Socialization – How you see yourself around others and your social interactions.
  • Physical – How you feel your psychological state may be impacting your body and vice versa.

How can I view my data?

You can access your reports on the “Your Data” page. Tap on the geometric symbol on the bottom nav of the app.

håp’s reports enable you to track your mental health and wellbeing over time. The reports are broken down into different sections, allowing you to digest your data in a way that’s most useful to you.

håp gives you access to different types of data related to your emotional and physical well-being, and how they interact. håp uses two types of data to generate your report:

  1. Your Mind Data – this is based on information that you enter in your daily Check-in.
  2. Your Body Data – if you choose to connect your wearable device, håp can integrate sleep, activity and heart rate data as measured by your wearable into your report.

Your Summary

Your summary on top of the “Your Data page” is an overview of the information gathered from the answers you’ve given in your daily Check-ins. You need to complete a few Check-ins for håp to be able to generate a summary report. If you have connected your wearable to håp, we will also take your wearable data into account here.

Your Mind Data Report

Your Mind data report is the information gathered from your daily Check-ins. håp helps you track  your moods and emotions as you are experiencing them.

You can view your data by day, week or month.

Just swipe left to see the previous period.

håp breaks down your Mind Data report by 7 factors that relate to your mental health and wellbeing:

  • Mood – How up or down you feel.
  • Calm – How calm or anxious you feel.
  • Focus – How clear-headed and focused you feel.
  • Motivation – How you feel about your ability to take initiative, how enthusiastic and satisfied you feel.
  • Sleep – How you feel about your overall sleep quality.
  • Socialization – How you see yourself around others and your social interactions.
  • Physical – How you feel your psychological state may be impacting your body and vice versa.

Your Body Data Report

Your Body Data Report is based on information gathered from your wearable device if you choose to connect it to håp. This helps you track your sleep, activity and heart rate.

Just swipe left to see the previous period.

håp currently supports Fitbit and Oura ring, with other wearables coming soon.

Your Compare Report

Your Compare Report helps you to understand your data in more depth by comparing two factors. For example, you can compare how your mood is changing versus your sleep. You can choose one of the pre-set pairings, or explore further by picking your own two factors to compare. You can also compare Mind Data and Body Data, for example how you feel you’re sleeping versus what your wearable says about your sleep.

How can I get support?

If you’re in a crisis, håp can connect you to a crisis counselor. Go to the “Your Support” section of the app by tapping on the round circle on the bottom of the app, or text HAP to 741741. A trained crisis counselor from Crisis Text Line will text you back.
